Once the festive season of Christmas has passed we sometimes get stuck on what to wear in the new year. Our christmas jumpers and festive motifs aren’t really applicable anymore and the weather is just has cold. (if not colder!)
I get a lot of messages from women looking for inspiration for this awkward period that is the end of Winter going into Spring.
I’ve teamed up with Very UK this month to bring you 2 looks that you can add to your wardrobe that will see you through this period. With versatile pieces that will also see you into summer.
One current trend that I am loving is the Western trend. If you didn’t know already I lived in Texas when I was younger so I am a southern gal at heart! Anything cowboy inspired I want! So I am loving the western style boots that I am seeing from a lot of brands at the moment. A subtle nod to the western theme without going full cowgirl mode!
They are easy to pair with anything you have in your current wardrobe – dresses, skirts or jeans. Comfy to wear and adds that little bit of style to any outfit.
See how I have styled them with this first outfit :
A casual “I’ve just thrown this together but look cool and stylish” outfit!
Teaming the skirt and jumper together for the current colder temps but change the jumper for a tshirt and you’re ready for summer! Also pair the skirt with a fancy top and heels – evening dinner look sorted! (did I mention that the skirt is on sale for £15.50? Bargain!!)

The 2nd outfit is giving me a bit more of a fancy feel. I think a cream coat just gives such a classy vibe to any outfit!
I am also obsessed with the rust colour of the culottes! That colour against the cream – it just pops!
Adding the boots with this outfit again just makes it a bit more casual and wearable. Really loving this combo, I think it looks great and very stylish!

I hope you liked these outfits and found my styling tips helpful on how to dress in this inbetween season period!
Much Love,
